Vital Records

The High Commission facilitates applications for vital records such as marriage certificates and birth certificates. However, applicants are asked to note that the High Commission is not involved in the processing of vital records. Instead, the High Commission serves as a conduit between clients in the United Kingdom and the Civil Status Registry in Saint Lucia where all vital records are processed. All applications must begin with an e-mail to the High Commission indicating the intent to apply.

In the case of Birth Certificates, the details necessary to conduct a “Search of Vital Records” will first be collected from you and submitted to the Civil Status Registry in Saint Lucia. Once the result of the search is complete, you will receive further case-specific guidance on the process and cost to continue the application in accordance with the guidance received from the Civil Status Registry.

In the case of Marriage Certificates, information will be collected from you for preparation of the necessary forms. You will then receive case-specific guidance on the process and cost to continue the application in accordance with the guidance received from the Civil Status Registry.

In the case of Non-Impediment to Marriage Certificates, information will be collected from you for preparation of the necessary forms. You will then receive case-specific guidance on the process and cost to continue the application in accordance with the guidance received from the Civil Status Registry. Kindly note that only persons with a Saint Lucian Birth Record can apply for a Non-Impediment to Marriage Certificate through the High Commission.”

Birth Certificate

Apply for a certified copy of a birth certificate for births registered in Saint Lucia.

Renunciation of Citizenship

Apply to renounce Saint Lucian citizenship formally.
